    nose
Dark, sticky, sweet it flows straight out of the glass. Powerful but with very well integrated alcohol. Dark sherry flavors - cinnamon, leather, caramel fudge and cooked plums. Sulfur allergy sufferers would have a hard time here, but I don't mind the slightly dirty aromas of a burned match. Forest honey and then as it should be - mineral aromas. Sherry barrel clynelish is so much fun! The barrel is strong, the Clynelish itself is pushed into the background, but is still there. Nice play between sweet and spicy, there is a nice complexity that makes me sniff at this dram for a long time. Still soft but strong and the waxy honey aromas come more and more. with a little more time, the nose is reminiscent of a family piglet with a little more mineral notes.

    taste
Powerful but still with perfectly integrated alcohol - and then comes the typical sherry clynelish that I love so much - mineral, waxy, dirty; hot! That's the way it has to be! Sulfur is also present here, but for me it belongs in abundance (and that's the way it is here) and makes the taste even more mineral. The spicy forest honey is still there, a light fresh breeze of mint. Sticky, with caramel and a little liquorice - but also spicy like the forest honey and some mountain herbs - maybe a little Ricola? Towards the finish, more and more mineral-salty aromas, this is where the typical Clynelish face emerges.

    Exit
Medium length, rather dry and mineral. In addition, some mint and liquorice again. The forest honey is also in the foreground here and mineral-waxy-salty it is coming to an end. A little sulfur and some oak seasoning will stick to the tongue. This mineral sherry taste mixed with sweet and spicy aromas then stays in the mouth for a longer time, and that's a good thing!

    Conclusion
A very nice and typical sherry barrel Clynelish - that's how I love these maturations. Extremely successful, tasty, tasty - but simply far too expensive. Yes, that's the way it is now, unfortunately, but at the price I just won't get a bottle into my house, even if it hurts.
    These prices - no thanks.
N-92, T-93, F-92 for excellent 92 points, which I will unfortunately miss a lot in the closet.

An incredibly rich whisky with lot of flavor. One of the best I have ever tasted.
