Whisky Reviews for Glenfarclas 21-year-old

- Notes from an online blind tasting
Starts out very waxy. In addition, a light pinch of salt and sweetish, cooked fruit. Slightly tropical. Some kiwi and damp wood. Forest honey and greased leather.
With a little time in the glass it gets more flowery. With warm chamomile tea. A bit of tobacco and a hint of lovage. Roasted aromas and sugared rhubarb.
Soft, but peppery start. Then light fruit sweetness and slightly woody bitterness. Very creamy, waxy mouthfeel.
With the second sip, something metallic and a fine fruit note towards pear, mirabelle plums. A little nutty. Behind a bit of dry pastries. Surrounded by a sour, tropical fruit taste.
- Sherry sweetness, walnuts, dried abricot, light peat, spices, long finish. Great value for price
- Already very close to the 25 year old Glenfarclas
- Room temperature when drinking: 25 ℃
