I had to play with the water a bit, but with the right balance, this malt is easy to drink. For me personally, however, it was too woody and dry on the finish. The sweetness didn't manage to compensate for my palate.

Subdued at first, then cherries, rum, wood, tea sweetened with rum, sugar and herbs.
    • Taste
      83 83
Wood with spice, roasted aromas, tannins and a sweetness that stayed in the background.
    • Finish
      83 83
Warm, wood, sweet, spiciness, very dry, tannins and astringent.

On the nose a lot of spice, cereals, later heavy sweetness from the rum. The taste more pleasing, luckily not too sweet. Oak-heavy finish. Was that a Fettercairn?
