In advance I like the bottlings from the whisky house and the label is funny too.

But this is by far the worst malt I've ever had in Marco's glass. It is hardly worth evaluating and certainly not a pleasure.
Alcoholic nose too young, pointed, a hint of sherry.
Sharp in the mouth (yes, I like CS otherwise), metallic, a penetrating anise and caraway note, a little liquorice (help), little fruit, a potpourri of different missing notes.
Does that have to be the case with Glenallachie?
The finish consists only of alcohol and a hint of bitter oak with herbal notes.

What a disastrous whisky. 2020 is the absolute lowlight so far. Fortunately, it is only 10cl. Congratulations to all bottle owners and dear whisky house:
Please don't lower your bottlings to this level. That doesn't help anyone. Even if you can get rid of them.

Was it really a sherry cask or a grill lighter cask? Turpentine in the nose and a tinge of alcohol.

Infatuated by the bouquet, the anticipation of the palate for the cool wetness is boundless. But what is it? It gets even worse: Caraway seeds, (unpleasant) pepper and the aroma of rotten wood make the drinker struggle for air, Jägermeister aromas almost suffocate him. Bourbon sweetness, ...

phew ... if the stupid bird wanted to smell the whisky on the label, then I know why he now only leaves the house with a gas mask.

Not the best bottling from A Dream Of Scotland. Youthful Glenallachie, flavors have to be looked for, sherry finish is only noticed minimally.
    • Nose
      81 81
Vanilla, malt, light fruits like pear and apple, minimal sherry.

It opens with a little water and releases the aromas better. In addition younger wood.
    • Taste
      82 82
A little spiciness, vanilla pudding, the sherry can only be noticed on approaches. In addition herbal-floral.

Less sharp and pleasing with water.
    • Finish
      80 80
Pretty quickly gone, pepper, chocolate and seasoning. Alcohol note

    - I was a bit biased by some of the comments here, but wrongly based on my assessment
    - yes still quite young, yes very strong (definitely needs water), yes definitely also one of the worse bottlings from ADOS, BUT by far not a bad whisky
    - I think it's a really good aromatic 8 year single malt
    - nice mix of yellow fruits and oak,
    - much better than I expected
    - The price is definitely too expensive, but the quality is completely okay
    • Nose
      81 81
Apricot, mirabelle plums, oak, strong character (intense yellow fruits)
    • Taste
      81 81
      without water: strong but also surprisingly good, I would not have expected it to be so harmonious and aromatic after 8 years, if you like it a little hotter you can drink it well at 56%, taste like the nose promises a lot of apricots, yellow fruits Oak, intense;

mW: almost unchanged from oW in terms of the aroma, somewhat milder and rounder, less alcoholic sharpness, a lot of yellow fruit in the aftertaste of the aroma
    • Finish
      81 81
      fruity, powerful medium-long finish;
      medium to long finish

    Youthful, fruity and dry aftertaste.
    • Nose
      85 85
Smell: cheesecake, plums and chocolaty, the nose promises something different than the taste.
    • Taste
      83 83
Flavor: youthful, light sherry note, custard
    • Finish
      82 82
Finish: becoming dry, with a hint of pepper.
Not a bad whisky, but you can tell that you are young.
