Whisky Reviews for Shinshu 1984

Soy sauce, grassy, heather, motor oil, rubbery, buttery, sultanas
Spicy, caramel, sherry, burned sugar, peppery, parrafin
Medium long, sultanas, caramel, spicy
- very unusual style, but i rather like it. I think it's better without any water.
Vanilla, creamy (vanishes with water) , a bit sherry, a little bit mineralic, a little bit peat
spices (arabic/oriental), fruity - banana & white sweet grapes
Sherry, grapes, chili, maggi, with water a strong vanilla note
- Quite expensive in Europe but definitely a very good whisky.
Mellow with a fruity beginning of canned peaches. Changes soon into notes of sherry, pencil shavings, peat and dried apricots.
Smooth and creamy. Sherry, toffee, peat, spices (curry, cardamon) and fruits (lychees, canned peaches). A nice combination, completely different from any Scotch whisky and rather tasty.
Medium long, chewy and soft with toffee in the dominating role.
