Part of a bfyb set with all whiskies that are tend to be overlooked by us ‘snobs’ because of we are being more busy buying expensive bottles, lol. Tonight I am having a Springbank night. This is number Three

Sweet with a tad bitterness. Full flavored nose. Red berries, blueberries, bramble, mint leafs and delicate sherry oak and antique furniture. I like this nose. It offers quite some depth and complexity. Lovely!

Well this is a good palate! Lovely full of flavor, well balanced and quite some age to it as well! Light peat in the background but certainly not dominant. Also the mint is present in a fresh mint tea kind of way. Again lovely!

The finish is long and strong with great sherry dominated flavors and a whiff of peat. Dried red fruits, some nuts and delicate but rich oak flavors.
Lovely stuff!! glen Scotia really succeeded in making a very affordable whisky with high quality!
