Nose: Subtle rose, key lime custard, green apple, smoke, earth, seaweed; oaky notes and caramel came at the very end.

Palate: sesame, honey ham, apple, dried lemon, dried apricot, pine & walnut. some knippery, tobacco and Masala curry, I won't say this is particularly good. Besides the peat, it is really just an ordinary Glen Moray or Deanston some sort.

Body: Medium, viscous, round, oily. A typical 25 yo but nothing special.

Finish: Long, blueberry pie, ash, plcastic, roast sole and lemon candy.

Would not say this being too outstanding, I hav seen so much more than this in a 20-something, perhaps it is reasonable that the fame of Ardbeg remains pretty silent until late-1990s, speaking of 1990s, Airigh Nam Beist is still the best Ardbeg I've been through so far.

Pleasant nose. Sweet with a little fruit and salt. Tasty already clear peat but also nice sweet flavors. I always taste a little fruit too. The remains then also with the peat on the tongue.
An incredibly tasty Ardbeg - great mixture of peat, salt and sweetness!

Subtle whisky, I've probably missed a lot of things. I would have liked more punchy, even if overall it is very nice in the state.
    • Nose
Fine and delicate. Smoke, cereal grill, sugar, cake batter. Freshness mint.
    • Taste
Miss a little punch. Very sweet attack, on the caramel. Hints of earthy peat. The salt gradually drips, with cooked fennel (aniseed and bitter).
    • Finish
Smoke, malt. Long as we like.
