  1. PuddingmitHaut did not rate this whisky Expert Senior

Don't really know what to do with it. It is interesting, unique, wins something on the palate. The sample is enough for me here.
    • Nose
Herbal spice, blossom honey, wet leaves, sugar cane, cardboard, caramel, (over)ripe apple, grapefruit, eucalyptus. Strange back and forth between tart, musty and sweet.
    • Taste
Peppery start, dry woody spice, all less musty. The sweetness from the nose is missing and only comes if you leave it in your mouth for a long time. When it is there, however, it becomes very pleasantly creamy.
When swallowing then suddenly tart herbs and cardboard again.
    • Finish
The tart, sticky spiciness remains together with plenty of pepper.

  2. Spoerkel scored this whisky 87 points Expert Senior

Despite the rather “cautious” ratings, I expected more due to the highly attractive Inchmurrin/ Sauternes barrel combination. But 1+1 doesn't have to be 2. A solid dram nonetheless, with the wine barrel overlaying the distillery style.

  3. Numwierum scored this whisky 88 points Expert Senior

Smell: A fine, light sweetness, light grapes, nougat, orange peel and a fresh note of wood.
Taste: The start is pleasantly sweet again, raisins, roasted hazelnuts, white pepper, bitter orange jam.
Finish: Medium length, bitterness spreads but does not gain the upper hand, dry oak.
Conclusion: a wonderful wine maturation! No aromas are too dominant or intrusive, even the emerging bitterness does not become too intense.

Desperately needs water, but then the nose really gets going.

  5. Issie did not rate this whisky Connoisseur

    • Nose
Honey, pine needles, resin, grain, wood, lemon, peach, apple, mango, there is also something quite spicy, but I can't really describe it, pineapple, banana, melon, fermented fruits, cinnamon, chocolate, a few grasses I also think so
    • Taste
Honey, grain apple, green apple, lemon, lime, wood, coffee, grapefruit, some earth, gets really dry in the back,
