The typical Pittyvaich profile is clearly recognizable - you will identify this distillery on the spot in a blind tasting. By the way, this one does not need any water - nevertheless it is a good swimmer (it gets much smoother and rounder and of course, even more sippable - but a little less interesting as all the peakes and surprises are gone, too).
The nose is excellent on home-grown fruits and sweet sherry flavours, complex and deep diving. One to sniff and explore for hours.
On the palate a warm, tongue-coating and sweet, quite thick sherry and liquoreuse profile takes place with some recognisable wood influences (that provide a firm structure to all other aromas).
The finish is not that strong, but still very good. Medium length and not drying out. I really like this stuff.
