    Colour:
    Strong, dark rose

    Nose:
    Raspberries dipped in milk chocolate.
Earthy moist notes, bark. Dark grapes and sweet chewing gum.
Cold, wet ashes. Smoking cat, campfire extinguished by rain.

    Palate:
The whisky is almost creamy and sweet on the tongue, creme brulee with dark grapes.
Sweet wine from old barrels, oak makes itself felt.
Fruity, dry flavor of the Marsala.
As the drier grows, the smoke slowly comes through and covers the tongue with cold, stale ash.
There is also some ham under the ash layer.

    Outlet:
Dry, dull with cold smoke and residual sweetness from fruity grapes.

    Conclusion:
A very adult South Islay beauty.
The focus is no longer on pure smoke, but on the almost elegant sweetness of the Marsala, which is highlighted by the dry smoke notes.

This whisky taught me how important a few drops of water might be.
I was not impressed that much when I opened the bottle, but when I started experimenting with water, that's when I got a lot out of this whisky.
I do not mind the spirit character being a bit overwhelmed by the finish (I don't believe finishes simply cover poor spirit quality, either), I love Marsala finished whiskies (Springbank 9yo!), as well as Islay peaters, that is why I like this one so much.

I thought it would be closer to Iris, unfortunately it is far behind.

Nose is intensively sour and alcohol is not covered well, from taste point of view I like it. It is simple and accessible, it lacks complexity and finish. 86 is fair rating.

Please go more like Glenrothes and Iris, less like Tanya.

I like very straightforward, clean peat, which gets an interesting edge with the Marsala barrel.
    • Nose
sweet peat, clean, citrus, bacon, fizzy candies
    • Taste
a bit bitter, much cleaner peat, a little more wine notes, but still not dirty.
    • Finish
a bit tart than expected, the wine barrel is noticeable, peaty, licorice and citrus.

Red fruits, a kind of mix of strawberry/black cherry candy or jam, topped with a bit irritating mold

    ***
    ????: rose wine, diluted orange
????: pungent smoke, sweet but quite fresh and refreshing, slightly windy, mineral, not yet composed but fortunately not alcoholic, a bit like bourbon, smoky ex-bourbon, feel Lagavulin but delicate, not predatory, a little candy, cheap sweet wine? It flutters cheap
????: sweet, pleasantly peaty, even round, slightly biting, much better than the nose, quite smooth, tasty, although only at the beginning because it tears: / and flattens quickly
????: finish? Hmmm .... how would it be ?!
    *
If it wasn't for the nose, it would be fine to sip. But the tartness ...: / it's a pity.
    *
    ????: 3.5 / 10
    ????: 83/100
