  1. Tom na Gruagaich scored this whisky 85 points Connoisseur

I'm having a hard time with this, especially the notes. It's very sweet, but also a lot of peat, beautiful oak, less fruit. Unexpectedly little wine, but it can also be the form of the day.
    • Nose
More beautiful, more subtle, peat, very sweet and almost sugary on the nose, a bit scented, vanilla, oak a little herbaceous, but rather sweet.
    • Taste
stronger than expected, sweet, but also black pepper, peat, unexpectedly creamy.
    • Finish
      sweet, peaty, mild and spicy.

The alcohol is not integrated very well here. I didn't like the bitter side either. Overall rather difficult. The best thing is the nose. Full review (german): https://keinehalbendrinks.de/2020/08/13/alle-port-charlotte-teil-2/

great nose of Primitivo wine but the taste doesn't keep the level and the finish is simply too metallic and bitter. For me an OK dram but no 88+

Strong salty smoke. Wonderfully maritime. Campfire on the beach in the old leather jacket. Matching an elegant citrus freshness. Despite the alcohol strength, a surprisingly elegant and balanced Port Charlotte. With a little water, it becomes dirtier and at the same time much sweeter, shows licorice and sugar.

Very smoky and deliciously sweet. Great! Strongly charred marshmallows from the campfire. With water, he is fratziger, tingles on the tongue and shows pepper. Slightly drier on the palate

Long and warm. The smoke stops.

Nose: Earthy, smoky leather, vanilla, honey and salty citrus fruits (actually reminds a bit of Port Ellen).

Taste: Lemons, salt and a little honey with vanilla. Otherwise, unfortunately nothing again!

Finish: Medium long, still salty at the beginning, then
getting better and better. Finally, a smoky sugar candy stays on
    the tongue back.

    83 points (nose: 86 / taste: 82 / finish: 80)
