    Absolutely successful. 82 points.
    • Nose
      "Classic. That's how I imagine a modern Caol Ila at this age. A greasy and slightly stable smoke. Citrus fruits are hinted at.

      Water: An entire horse stable is now floating in space. The lemon peels become more dominant. Splendid!"
    • Taste
      "Intense and ashy. Fire, straw, lemon.

      Water: A little creamier, a little lighter, a little sweeter."
    • Finish
      Long and smoky.

    tough in taste, but in winter you can and should!

    This has the DNA of the distillery in it - salty, iodine, gentle smoke. Would recommend a bottle of this.

      pleasantly smoky, slightly sweet, brown sugar, some citrus fruits, phenolic
    • Taste
      the smoke dominates, but it is nicely integrated and the alcohol is not dominant, somewhat spicy and sweet
    • Finish
      medium to long, still smoky, this should be the last whisky of a whisky evening

    I drank a whole bottle, at the start the whisky was squeezed and one-sided, although not bad, when there was already less than half a bottle, then I played with paints - ash, fatty baked fish, a little lemongrass, the last drams were wonderful
