This gives a good nose. It offers quite a tropical and citrus fruits bomb. Fresh pineapple, lychees, green unripe melon and white grapes. In the background some fruits but also rather sharp. Not in an alcoholic way but a little like restless young fruit.
Canned pineapple on juice, again melon and more mild spices now but also dry oak. It feels a little tart on the palate. Alcohol is rather prominent. It does handle water like a champ and it does get better by adding that.
Medium/short Alcoholic driven finish with more fruits like stated above and some licorice. Rather standard and not surprising nor very characterful
This, once again, points out my experience with Deanston. Obviously it’s just a personal opinion. Some will like it, some don’t. Somehow me and Deanston are not a match made in heaven.
