Brilliant whisky for his age if you compare it to a lot of older sherry whisky. They need a lot to improve to compete with this bottle.
    • Nose
      94 94
Lots of sherry, dried fruits, vanilla, cocoa, cherry, little oakiness, perhaps a little kiwi. Use a 20's blender glass! It will make it even better then it's already is
    • Taste

Little spicy but not to much, sweet, sherry, little oakiness, dried fruits, raisins , raspberry, vanilla and perhaps a little cherry note, little lemon, nuts

Long and sweet aftertaste, perhaps a little raisins in the back. Also becoming little dry, dark chocolate

Nose: Very charming dark Shirley bomb, with a little dark chocolate flavor in the dried fruit.

Taste: figs, raisins, ripe raspberry, balanced and mellow body, quite balanced by alcohol

Taste: In the end, dark fruits/chocolate remain, the lasting taste gives a good taste experience. I like this slightly dark fruit aftertaste.

Well, one month and three months of sobering make a completely different experience

Tasted this one blind but it doesn’t need an Einstein to unravel this is a young sherry bomb.
    • Nose
well...I guess it’s time for a sherry bomb. A burst of red fruit bowl. Sweet, thick and syrupy. Fresh herbs and some nuttiness as well. Very alcoholic and young. This is GlenSherry in my book. This can literally be any distillery..with a lot of water some more leather flavors are released but it remains alcoholic.
    • Taste
Full arrival, immediately followed by loads of tannins and youthfulness. This is heavily matured in an active cask with a big amount of transportation sherry still in it. Alcohol is prominent. It’s young and restless. Tastewise it gets a lot better with a truckload of water. Way more balanced and less alcoholic. Now the palate actually is quite nice and more palatable.
    • Finish
Long but not pleasant for my. To much tannines and way too onesided. Lot’s of sherry influences. Px as well as oloroso I believe. The finish is also dominated by the sherry casks but not in a good way. Sometimes a sherrybomb can be very good, but this is just too common.

Dark chocolate, sherries, powerful, thick syrup, hint of leather, green spice, kiwi fruit, raisins, some tobacco.
    • Taste
      84 84
dark chocolate, coffee, dark sugar, plumps, leather, nuts, tad of sulfur, wood spices.
    • Finish
      83 83
dark chocolate, coffee, bit bitter, quite some wood, forest berries and assorted nuts.
