Not a complex whisky, a tad oaky but tasty and enjoyable. Excellent.
    • Nose
Very fruity and jammy (red fruits, plums). Varnish, honey, spices and chocolate.
    • Taste
Round. Oak, red fruits again, spices (pepper, ginger). Lots of pepper actually.
    • Finish
Long, oaky and peppery. Slightly bitter, cloves.

  2. Jeep51 scored this whisky 92 points Expert Senior

Excellent. The wood is still present but does not crush the rest.
    • Nose
Very accessible and expressive. There is a mess of orange juice, honey, wax, cane sugar and some encaustic. The whole is supported by enough vivacity so that we can noser it for long minutes without tiring. After aeration, some sweet spices appear as well as a melted mix of exotic fruits. Surely not the most complex nose, but so immediate that it's great.
    • Taste
Round. Old wood, exoticism (again a perfect mix ultra melted). Wood and spices are here more present and dominate but do not balance the whole: pepper, nutmeg, ginger. Very good, in the continuity of the nose.
    • Finish
Long, very long. The mint makes its appearance and brings peps and freshness by mingling with ginger, pepper and always wood (well mastered).

Full of jammy fruit, mostly red, with a touch of milk chocolate and a nice sherry. It is very greedy, we would eat it! Some slight traces of encaustic too. Very pleasant.

In the mouth we will find most of its aromas, but the wood will also express itself on beautiful notes of spices, ginger and nutmeg in mind.

The finish is long, with a beautiful woody bitterness, the tannins speaking without excess. A success.

  4. Jean-Brice scored this whisky 91 points Expert Senior

    A beautiful complex sherry
    • Nose
a little smoky with lots of red fruit
    • Taste
      bitter cocoa on the palate
    • Finish
      Long

  5. Lafroy scored this whisky 91 points Expert Senior

    • Nose
A lot of sweetness, gingerbread in sugar glazing, poppy-seed cake with alcohol, light fingernail polish, varnish or even heavy paint thinner.
    • Taste
It starts with great sweetness, then sourness, bitterness, in poppy-seed cake, strong vanilla, light lemon, birthday cake with hints of bourbon, a little bit of dryness, and white chocolate.
    • Finish
Medium long with cake notes and light bourbon sweetness.
