Great interplay of nose and palate, plus a nice long finish - just awesome.
    • Nose
Very gentle and harmless, he stalks his nose. Lemon cake flatters the nose, next to fine / fine-spicy smoke. As bright as he looks, he seems so light with his apple and pear notes and the bashful look around the notes of grease and diesel exhaust. Alone - you do not really want to trust him ...
    • Taste
Yes, it is. And that is not due to the undiluted very good edible 60.1%. Now hot smoke floods the mouth, lemon juice and applesauce. He is dry and strict and then very quick ashes. Some vanilla and lemon feather the smoke, but the smoke / ash is omnipresent and sets the pace.
    • Finish
Long and pleasantly dry with endless plume of smoke and towards the end increasing sweetness of light fruits.

The aftertaste remains sharp for a long time, as if he ate a chili pepper in order to remember this adhesive tape for a long time.
    • Nose
Sleepers, fuel oil, pigskin, cold smoked fish, cranberries in sugar, sea salt. Bell pepper and squeezed lemon in the background.
    • Taste
Toasted slices of bacon, apricot jam, ginger, nuts.
    • Finish
Burning and very smoky at the beginning, with spicy notes of cinnamon, with echoes of hazelnuts and fresh rye bread.

A nose first very smoky, then the peat is essential, pure. Some white fruits, a little lemon, that's all. A peat plant, almost bocage. With vegetables, a little varnish, wax, an ounce of earth. A power that makes you dizzy. On the palate, the fruits stand out, mirabelles, queens-claudes, green apples, then pepper. Finally an explosive finish, leaving a vanilla aftertaste.

N: A nose that improves all the time. Strong on abv yet with a light sheeny barley style - a little sweet, yeasty and fairly farmy. Also of note, soot and fruity onions (another Ardbeg character trait in my obscure book].
T: Light bitter citrus with a vibrant chew.
F: A touch of vanilla to the smoke, only a slight vegetal quality now, onion-y vinegar and suggestions of a fishy coastal finish.
C: Pretty good as it is, but one that vastly improves with time & water.

Floral perfume, spicy, leather and a little bit peat smoke notes on nose.

Peat smoke, earth, strong mouth dryness, pepper and green apples notes on test.

The long finish starts with peat smoke, pepper, vanilla and earth.

I like this young and strongly peaty whisky!
