    ????: light gold
????: the glass breathes for a moment ... and yet we are greeted by a blow of strong, bourbon sweetness. A bit sugary but not intrusive, sometimes comes the sweetness of a typical steamer. Both of these sweets are interwoven, sometimes milder and sweetness is delicate, well composed, sometimes intensifying. Peat comes between, not intently, rather gently. Both worlds interpenetrate nicely. Wow! In my basic scale of receiving peat I divide it into warm ardbeg and cold laphroaig. Here we have warm, seaweed, sea peat. This is not a hospital. It's sweet seaweed! YES!!!
????: the tongue is equally pleasant, smooth, subtle pinching comes in. Oh nice !!! Such a mildly biting pepper. There is sweetness, still gentle, does not kill with power, it is just right! Peat is still delicate, sea, seaweed, which together with sweetness and spiciness create a very nice atmosphere. The language wants to accept another dram !!!
????: slightly warming, moderately long, still slightly stinging.

I was drinking ff bourbon with Speyside and honestly? I prefer this combination with the cake. And if these two worlds compose so well then comes out such tasty whisky !!! Delicate, but also feisty, i.e. a nice, sweet bear with sharp claws. Yum Yum Yum!
After adding 3 drops of water, the nose opens with lots of vanilla! Sooooo nice!
Another bottling of Rafał and Bartek is another selection of very tasty whisky. Each dram asks for another refilling of the glass! Bravo !!! ????????????
Ps. I will buy Brown Bear ????, payroll in cash????, all WWF standards are met ????, he will have it in my hive ????????????

    Nose:

mineral, chalk, renovation-painting, slightly bourbon-acetone, then comes a light smoky breeze, sea-salty, vanilla sweetness from a bourbon cask in the background

    Taste:

compared to a slightly smoky nose, here the smoke strikes hard from the very beginning, slightly peppery, a bit of alcohol is noticeable, breeze, vanilla, citrus

    Finish:

medium long, definetely sweeter than taste, very peaty

    Score:

    Pretty good young Ledaig- 88/100

Nose - sweet, a bit sour, apples so green straight from the orchard and such fish salty
Taste- already smoke, a lot of smoke, light fruit washed in salt water, vanilla, very pleasant
Finish: vanilla, less smoke, then sweet, and when it leaves, the aftertaste of burnt seaweed for sushi remains, moderately long.
To sum up - Very good ledaig from the active tap, I drink nicely I recommend it to everyone! And in great money ... there was : P

Overally in line with Springbank/Talisker. Ledaig just feels good in bourbon barrel.
    • Nose
slightly smoky, mineral, salty, with a hint of white grapes
    • Taste
peaty, spicy (but not burning), balancing between salty and sweet
    • Finish
long, first heavy peat (not very smoky), lasting sweetness with a bit of ash

It is a rounded and spicy malt (pepper, salt are all present) mouth-coating with a long finish. With few drops of water it opens again - all in all TTOW great job again ;)

How is it that young Ledaig can be that good? It definitely likes ex-bourbon barrels!
Maybe bear on the label has been put there not by accident. This whisky smells like smoked honey!

Surprisingly complex for such a wee, young lad. Ledaig I mean. To the point.
Very pleasant, sweet (vanilla, mead, maple syrup), gentle smoke, fruits (baked apples, wild strawberries? C'mon, That wasn't a sherry hogshead!)
In the background smoked bacon, car grease and something I was looking for: sea salt, warm sand, and a breeze.
      Oh, well done!

Sweet again but this time there are: toast with salted butter, butterscotch, strong black breakfast tea, a slice of lovely bacon and a cracking bonfire somewhere nearby. And yes, the spices and oak are present too.
But where am I? Near the bay, you say?
It's a bloody good breakfast! Just take my money! Oh, wait. You already did.

Long, warming, pleasant. Sweet with a touch of oak, all surrounded by gentle smoke.

This makes me very happy. Nice scent, not too... subtle, but very present. Kind of hidden power. Exciting.

Cold smoke smell. At the outlet. Great. Then something of heather smells comes up. flowers. Yummy.

Slightly leathery, oily taste. floor wax. But then nice. Very spicy, pepper....but then a red one....haha...

A lot of what the taste already brought. Ebbs away a little too quickly ...... craving for the next sip, because it wants to retain the taste.

Very correct position, it has something of Talisker and Ardbeg, but much softer
    • Nose
Honey, light smoke, some algae, menthol
    • Taste
There is more smoke here, but also hotter, wet salty, some wood from the fire
    • Finish
      medium-long, smoky, peppery, warming

  10. vlad78 scored this whisky 88 points Connoisseur

    Smoky, sweet, mineral.
    • Nose
There is smoke, but not much, the tones of lime and green apples, yellow pears, vanilla, apricot. Mineral tones.
    • Taste
The taste is sweet, slightly smoky and mineral, full of yellow fruits.
    • Finish
      Sweet, smoky, mineral.

Nose: Peat, hard candy fruit, bubble gum.
Taste: A lot of peat with a delicate sweetness, unfortunately the alcohol is not well covered. However, when water is added, alcohol disappears and more sweets appear. Slight focus where and where. Unfortunately, the aroma is not very strong and deep
Rating: 86 | 100. Quite long finish with a peaty profile.
