Unconventional is the least you can say about this, at least I never had a blend of rye, peat and sherry so far, and that for a mere £30.

a nicely into each other flowing package of aroma’s with a constant of bready, malty rye hints. The soft peat blends in without all too much ado, joined by gentle smoky oak char, red apple and a small spoon of brown sugar. Velvet sherry fruits and a tiny tobacco leaf pass by too.

Once again rather a ‘whole package deal’ than a number of layers bringing up each of the individual blending components. Soft rye, malts, then wee peat/smoke at the fore, coated by orchard/stone fruit sweetness. Never heavy on either, ‘just’ a joint venture (which is not as obvious as it sounds) to bring a mouthcoating experience that – as propagated – would easily do with a BBQ (though not only).

Medium, lingering rye spice and a pinch of pine flavors to me …
