Whisky from Germany - Alpirsbacher Klosterbräu
Alpirsbacher Kloster Whisky, single malt, 5 years. 43% alc. Original bottling. Expansion: oak barrels
Nose: apple aromas, crisp pears, pineapple and mango, very fruity. A hint of malt and vanilla, but the fruits dominate with their mild sweetness.
Palate: Creamy and fruity, very mild. Vanilla, the fruity aromas of the nose, roasted malt, slightly bitter caramel, brown sugar.
Finish: Medium long, still very creamy and pleasantly sweet. The bitterness increases only a little, but more spicy aromas. Cloves, a hint of pepper.
Conclusion: An incredibly mild and harmonious whisky, this creamy texture goes wonderfully with the summery fruit aromas. I would have blindly assigned this whisky to the Irish island. A light whisky that is very easy to enjoy. 85/100 points (2021)
