Whisky Reviews for Dufftown 1980 DL
2 users have left a review for this whisky and scored it an average of 87.24 points
- Fruity and spicy aroma, grapefruit, raisins, plumjam, cloves, resin, peat and malt. Rather dry taste, sherry, pepper, grapefruit marmalade, dark chocolate, vanilla and floral hop. Long, spicy, malty and woody end.
Very intensive with notes of smoke, tobacco, hot
peppers, dark chocolate, cherries, plum, fingernail polish, varnish, oak, honey,
roots, wine, plastic and rubber too.
It starts with hot spices, hints of plastic and rubber,
bitterness, dried fruits with white pepper, light sweetness and bitterness
again. Root spices and salt to it as well.
Very long, very intensive with bitterness and dryness.
Cream with spirit in the aftertaste.
