-
ripe red apples +/o, bourbon vanilla +/o, lemon o, couverture/dark
chocolate o, parafin/wax o, wood polish & pesticide o/-, tobacco
o/-, slight bright wood influence o/-, (88)
A bit later:
cereal/grain & hay, more wood, pears in a basket slightly overripe
& some fermented o, some dark chocolate o (87)
Later: still chocolate-y but more waxern and warm vanilla (pudding) w very nicely balanced oak (88)
Much later (90+ mins): mushroom notes come through & feels flat now (73)
W Water: grapes +/o, vanilla syrup, somewhat (wet) stone/mineral-y on the nose now, (85) -
chocolate
syrup, a bit mineral/farmy with some hay, grain husks, sand & some
sour somewhat yeasty notes. Also, some fruit esters, mostly towards
apples & ripe bananas (87)
W Water: seems to add very little, a
bit sweeter (dissolved chocolate gummy bears...?) less mineral than the
nose suggested, some tobacco (84) -
spirit comes to the
fore, woodyness says hello too but only slightly, herbal notes, sweet
malt and distant fruit in the back (84)
W Water: again/still
chocolate gummy bears, now also with some licorice/sandalwood
bitterness, less mineral in the finish as well, but spirit is noticable,
despite a lot of water. (81)
