    This is Clay !!!
Nose: this is space! Honey, sweet juicy pear, lollipops, lemonade, rich muffins ... It is not clear how in the market in fruit rows when everything is already overripe, and sellers are pressing to give it cheaper ... a blossoming orchard ... 22
Taste: here it is - wax! Honeycomb, lemonade, mint, white pepper 23
The finish is long-lasting, pleasant, fruity and warming 23

    I left a little in a half-empty scale. Stood for a week.
It all sounds great too! It's impossible not to see the honeycomb! Even my non-drinking wife, having felt the aroma of this nectar, asked to try it!
    Very characteristic Klineelish! Bravo!

Butter cake, lemon, oranges, incredibly well integrated alcohol, great Clynelish old school, thank you Thimo for the sample

Starts out slowly on orange and lemon zest, then opens up with a whole fruit basket and lots of sweet oranges. I have never had this much orange in any Whisky.
Then there's the typical Clynelish wax and honeycomb. After a while I also find some very pleasant soft smoke. Sweetened almonds (marzipan) with some spices (mostly cardamom and cinnamon).
There's also some olive oil in this that gives it an even greater texture.

      Impeccable and intriguing nose.

Quite sweet and soft onset, then some wood and big waxes. A whole bee hive with honey, beeswax and propolis. The oranges and lemons from the nose come back (both with peels), paired with a bit of mango. Later on the there are also some spices (cinnamon and a curry powder mix) and a hint of smoke. The orange gets more prominent with time.
Becoming sweeter over time, this reminds me of these orange flavoured dextrose sweets we have in Germany.
There's some oak, but it's very well integrated and fits in perfectly.

Very consistent with the nose. It's a bit dryer than you'd expect with all the waxes and the oils, but I won't complain. This is just brilliant.
    • Finish

Long (yay!), warm and waxy. With a pinch of salt. And the the oranges (with peels, of course) and some tropical fruits (mostly mango) show up again. After a while the finish gets a bit grassy.

This just hits the spot for me. Great cask selection by Martin from Maltbarn (as with 95% of their releases). Filled at a perfect age with amazing, yet subtle cask influence. You can just feel the age and the wood, but it's not overwhelming at all.
Very elegant Whisky, without the slightest off-notes and with very intriguing Clynelish waxes and strong orange flavours. Not an insane dram, but it's just impeccable. I'm having a hard time removing points in any aspect.

Very lovely photograph of a boy with a raven – is it well a raven? - on his shoulder. Profound, ‘schwarz’ and very German in that respect. Colour: straw. Nose: it is a gentler Clynelish this time again, but things change after just thirty seconds, with some wood smoke coming through, then green apples and paraffin, then some tense kiwi and rhubarb, sour beer, muesli from Oberallgäu (don’t bother, just a personal nod) and finally honeycomb. Impeccable. Mouth: impeccable indeed. Pure waxy Clynelish, with citrus and green apples, as well as green spices and fresh bread. I hope you’ve noticed that I’ve decided to keep this one short (more time for enjoying the dram!) Finish: long, superb, totally Clynelish. Love the touch of salt in the aftertaste, and the feeling of margarita. A margarita from Sutherland! Comments: this one’s playing on my soft heart, which always works.
