Gråmantel scored this whisky 85 points

I do not know if it is a good day for me but I test Silent Mills 01 and 02 against each other and it is much better than for example the Quercus series and the older High coast / BOX releases in my opinion. Surprisingly good indeed. 01 has a soft peatiness with "classic" tones while 02 has a little more farm and animal smell in it. It should be quite young whisky, but I do not feel much new-make or mash. Dirty vanilla. Sweet smoky taste. Quite a long aftertaste that remains at the edges of the tongue and cheeks.
These releases together with Cinco have opened the eyes of me who has not been so impressed by the distillery before. This is good whisky regardless of origin.
