    Beautiful wine nose, powerful tart taste, really tasty winter theme to drink, solid wine finish!

    Another barrel experiment from Port Charlotte.
    This whisky was to be discovered in 2020. Absolutely the best that came out this year.

      A compote of smoke, citrus, caramel, orange peel, cherry.
      Then I add tomato ketchup later.
    • Taste

      Insanely complex.
      Grapes, red wine, red fruits. Sweet and still a little pepper. Toasted aromas. Caramel.

      Long and creamy. Very nutty. Unfortunately only a little smoke.

    well this is something! i would say this is one of my top drams of 2020. wow. the sample i got here disappeared in a very short time. beautiful expression from PC. if you can get your hands on this one dont hesitate. the balance between the charming character of whine finished bruichladdich combined with the brutal peat and ashes is just amazing. highly recommended.

      sulfur, heavy nose on this one, machine oil, betaisotona, asphalt, fermented and sour, petrol, weird but fascinating. wow. wet wood, fir (tanne), swiss pine (zirbe), dark forest honey, some modly notes come through. sweet fruit. fermented peaches, very medicinal.
    • Taste
      behind the strong peat smoke some very strong and complex sweetness, unbelievable sweetness. on the other hand almost narcotic numbing, like a dip in lidocain. salivation starts niagara style. mavellous.
    • Finish
      the contrast between the brutal petrolly asphalt notes combined with this sweet malty fruitiness is just unbelievable. best dram 2020 for me.

    Viewing Eyes: amber

    Smell Nose: A lightly fermented odor brings out the sweetness of grain (slightly burnt tortillas at the bottom) and the fresh sweetness of fermented seafood, charred rubber, chemical syrup, a little dog hair, disinfectant, old Wood, a little oily, but it feels like it can't cover the wine, it will still be a bit pungent, lemon dishwashing liquid, dirt, dust, fresh melons, red berries, a little fruit vinegar

    Taste Palate: Extremely sour (the most sour I have ever tasted), so funny. The sour taste suppresses the saltiness of the middle seawater, the aroma of woody spices and pepper is obvious, the leaves, smoked and roasted tea leaves, and part of the bitter base (the bitter base should be more obvious, weakened by the sour taste)

    Finish: Finishing sweetness, rust, dust, licorice, wood, spider web, obvious tannin, astringent

    Body: mellow and smooth, medium but very heavy, with good oily feel,

    Overall: Compared to pc 10, this one is more stern. The advantage is that nose amplifies the mild smell of seafood fermentation, and at the same time introduces the fresh sweetness of grain, which is unique. But the shortcomings are also obvious. The front part of the entrance is especially sour, with too much force and a slight imbalance. It is worth mentioning that this bitter bottom is obvious, but it is indispensable. High acid, medium salt and bright dry woody fragrance. If there is not enough bitter bottom, it will undoubtedly be top-heavy. In addition, the tail rhyme is obvious and offset In addition to its displeasure. PC MRC 01 is a very suitable wine that uses bitter bottoms. It's very interesting. It is recommended to try.
