The sweet wine barrel looks a bit fake, I also find it quite lively and without great depth

    Very subtle sulfur.
Really cute but not typical of Marsala.

All in all a nice, tasty malt.

No idea where the first fill Marsala barrel should be. Also nothing special dilutes. There are better bottlings for this money.

I had a pretty big development in my nose. From cardboard-sweet to slightly sulphurous to red-fruity-sour. The strength of this whisky for me is the finish with a tasty nut nougat baked goods note.

Just extremely sweet right after pouring it out. That improved after plenty of standing time. Then there was a slight dirty, sulphurous note. Slightly mushroom. Shoe polish. Walnut. Sour Dough Bread. Cinnamon hotness. Coniferous wood. Molasses. After the impression of sulfur has evaporated (or the nose has got used to it - I like sulfur) there is a red wine, juicy fruit with a slight acidity. Then becomes fruity-fresher overall.
    • Taste
      86 86
Sweet and spicy. Cane Sugar - Grapefruit - Ginger. Slightly tart oak flavor. The almost 60% come into play after a few moments. Drinkable well pure.
    • Finish
      87 87
Nice nuttiness. Clearly vinous. Nougat. Dried fruit. Pudding. Cinnamon again. Raisin snail.
