A small amount of our 2013 vintage remained in a Tokaj barrel and is now 6 years old.
Now we have emptied the barrel and are offering this Distillers Cut, limited to 200 bottles, with 47% vol.
The reduction takes place with soft Bremen spring water.

Maturation: Bourbon and red wine barrels
Our second vintage single malt has been stored in oak barrels since 2013.
Different barrel sizes and pre-allocations were used, such as 225 liters of red wine barriques and 100 liters of ex-Bourbon whisky barrels.
Finishing: Tokaj barrel
For the maturation in wooden casks, the whisky was brought to a drinking strength of 60% volume alcohol after distillation.
At the beginning of 2016, the individual barrels were "married" to each other and filled into oak barrels that had a very substantial pre-allocation. The choice fell on Tokaj kegs from Hungary.
Our whisky is therefore a so-called "finish" whisky, in which the malt whisky has been matured in several different barrels. This gives the malt a fuller body and a longer, more complex finish.
