Nose: nice and fruity, very tasty smell of apricots.
The alcohol is very well integrated, no pungent odor.

Taste: full-bodied and wonderfully drinkable without diluting (not even necessary).

The balance between barrel and sweetness is really good for the first bottling.

    Finish: Medium long and spicy

In direct comparison with the OA at 13 years of age, this UA at 12 years of age is wonderful and tastes much better.

In color I would say medium amber

In the nose I have ripe peaches, raisin braid, apricot jam, bananas, almond bread, lavender honey, pineapple, grapefruit, smoked ham, apricots, marzipan stollen, later with a little water, white pepper, spring flowers, apple sauce, ginger, pears and oak

In the mouth it is mild with initially dusty wood, dried fruit, oak with very nice spices, you hardly notice the 50 percent, the alcohol is very well integrated, with a little water it becomes more angular, the alcohol then becomes clearer, the almonds and vanilla then join them.

The finish is medium-long, the dusty oak sticks to the palate, behind it is a hint of canned pineapple, overall very sweet and fruity, the spices of the oak are rather subtle, the, almonds are first again, at the end it becomes a bit bitter , which absolutely does not bother.

A really neat barrel that should be enjoyed undiluted! Keep it up!

Very good P / L value and start for a new, small UA, respect, nice selection at a solid price. Nice, primary sweetness with character due to some fruit and oak.
    • Nose
Clear, modern, young Bourbon nose with subtly more sweetness from the sherry finish, honey, vanilla, sugared almonds, white chocolate, a little light malt, slightly fermented, light fruit
    • Taste
Beautiful sugar apricot, peach jellies, brown and white sugar, apple bonbons, tick polish unfortunately, sweet wine, Virgin Oak character is added, fresh, young wood shavings, candied ginger, a little chamomile, honeydew melon, toffee
    • Finish
Apple chips, tick rough sawdust again, which also make it interesting, then with time again nice apricot and apple peel, medium length, very good length for the age

The alcohol makes itself clearly noticeable in the nose, but without covering up the clearly present fruit notes, which mainly consist of citrus fruits. There is some acid in it.
With a little time in the glass, the sherry slowly stalks, then suddenly becomes more and more noticeable from one moment to the next, as if the fruit had been properly sprinkled with sugar.

In the mouth, the expectations continue in the taste. Fruit and malt paired with a nice sherry sweetness please. Light chocolate is added and remains gently in the background.

In the end the fruit comes back from the beginning and says hello before the whisky slowly fades away in the finish.

Conclusion: In the combination a more than successful whisky with a great PLV. Definitely recommendable!

Very fruity and plump fruit basket on the nose. Apple / cider, overripe pears, quinces, apricots.
The sherry finish is very subtle and not superimposed like some other bottlings. It shows up with roasted salted peanuts and pickled raisins in the background. The more time the malt gets, the more the finish will appear. Class.

Volume percentages are well integrated, because nothing stings, enough strength to transport everything.
Nice balance between barrel (wood) and sweetness. Sherry aromas dominate the taste, not the fruit basket, malt, light dryness. He does not need to use water.

    Finish medium and very spicy.

Conclusion: I like great malt and a terrific PLV
