I like that. Maybe loses some clarity but doesn't fall off. Consistently harmonious and round.
Fine fine fine, great start on the nose. Soft, flavorful. Rich rum character rises. Caramel, vanilla, a lot of honey sweetness, some glue, plus oranges, apricots, more candied fruit. Also has a slightly nutty effect. Some chocolate with roasted aromas in the background. roasted almonds,
With more time in the glass, this intense rum character dissipates a bit and more sherry spreads.
On the palate then very tingling, slightly spicy. Oak spice comes through well. Not so soft anymore. Rather slightly powerful. Alcohol pushes the aromas forward nicely, but is well integrated. Slightly fruity, more spicy, but here too it becomes milder and softer with time and the clarity of the aromas is somewhat lost. Everything mixes more. Cereals, malt, muesli, oranges, tangerines, tobacco, nutmeg, cinnamon. Sometimes more, sometimes less.
