The Nose is outstanding: a hand full of dried fruits, nuts, sultanas, prunes, chocolate and freshly brewed black coffee. Underneath we can also find layers of barley sugars, cooked pineapples with a mix of spices like cinnamon and nutgmeg.
On the palate, it is quite smooth for a cask strength, creamy, mellow with sweet dried fruits into a Christmas cake and stewed fruits like pineapples and peaches. It has a huge amount of layers, which are always developing... it also comes the chocolate, vanilla and a mix of spices.
The finish is quite long, lingering and sweet with spices and banana chewing gum.
