Very varied and delicious. I like it very much!
Fruity, sweet beginning, alcohol is very slightly noticeable, something tickles the nose, cherries, figs, oranges and apricots push the fruit component forward. Caramel and vanilla make the fruit appear sweeter and candied/caramelized. In the background there is some spice like cinnamon, marzipan. Especially with the candied fruits, the whole thing has something of a Christmas stollen every now and then. I also have a subtle green herbal note.
It's probably more of a winter malt. :-)
The nose gains even more with the addition of water. No more stinging or tickling, more aromatic, more herbs that go well with the fruit-sweet component. Wood aromas also become clearer.
Sparkling, spicy, slightly hot with dark fruits like blackberries, plums, cherries. I have a slightly burnt crêpe in mind with sugar and cinnamon. Caramelized nuts, creamy dark chocolate with a lot of sweetness.
Medium-length finish, liqueur-like sweetness, spicy oak, generally more wood on the finish, chocolate
