It brings sensations so different from other whiskys that it is difficult to give a rating. Some could give a 65, others a 98.
I am won over by this "natural" approach and by the result.
I do not recommend adding water. If it reveals some very slightly smoky notes in the mouth, you lose intensity in the nose and in the finish.
This whisky is the Rolls Royce of the Lowlands. It makes this region shine as it deserves.
Without hesitation: coconut. Not the milk, but the smell that escapes from the nut in the sun. Magnificent.
After a while, you can smell the wheat fields, still in the sun. Then, the pure butter shortbreads. After about 30 minutes, the smell of coconut unfortunately tends to diminish. But how do you manage to wait all this time?
Fat, powerful, white pepper.
Deliciously long. Very very slight trace of smoke. Fat cereals.
