What a fantastic nose, you still have 100% aroma in your nose from the empty glass. If I didn't know better, I would have guessed I had an Irish single pot still in the glass.

At first I had the impression of having fermented fruit in my nose, but this impression immediately fades - probably held my nose over the glass too quickly ... Instead, a very tasty mixture of tropical fruits takes its place: mango, papaya, passion fruit, Guava. In addition, a mixture of spices, which cushions the fruit and doesn't let it drift into sweetness: clove powder, coriander, cinnamon, cardamom.

Creamy, full, fruity and spicy start. Tropical fruits, coconut meat, and coconut water (pretty noticeable). Mango puree, papaya, mashed banana. Clove powder, cinnamon, coriander, coffee with milk. Quasi a mirror image of the nose. A little dry wood is mixed in.

Medium length and dry. The fruits are still lurking in the background, as the spices, the wood over there - all still together ...

    • Taste
      84 84
Vanilla, honey, grapes, barley malt, in the background some mint comes through.
    • Finish
      83 83
      Medium sweet finish

  3. St. Pauli scored this whisky 82 points Connoisseur

It's quite an enjoyable aperitif whisky, but by no means an exceptionally great whisky that would get 88 points (average score at the time of this review). It's in the light, yeasty, malty and fruity camp, but a bit thin.
    • Nose
      84 84
A combination of malty, yeasty and fruity smells. It's like being in a pastry shop, with smells of Danish pastry, icing sugar, topping cherry and tartlets. It's accompanied by unripe pineapple, gooseberry and vanilla custard.
    • Taste
      82 82
The mouth feel is rather thin, on the acidic side. There is grape seed, gooseberry, malt, pastry, mint and grass.
    • Finish
      80 80
Medium, certainly not coating/sweet. The green notes of grape seed and grass dominate. Further there is malt and dough.
