Blindspot 72 by ... tadaa: @Ed_Radour. That would be a smoker, at first badly smelly with bitumen, cowshed and what felt like a little sulfur, after a little air everything dissolves in pleasure, round, not ashy, tree sap, balm, soot, fresh tar, vanilla, banana bread. Also here for sure> 50%. As you know, Islay is not my area of expertise and I am sure that I have had the sample longer than it is out of here: Unnamed Islay 28 Signatory A little ashier with water. Green simmering branches. Delicious stuff, 90 points.
At Benromach, of course, you've got the right one and I've wanted to try the bottling for a long time. Interestingly, it has the same smoke notes, which are strong for Benromach conditions, such as this one here: . The 8cl whisky beforehand will have had its share, but it comes across as older and more dignified than the 9yo: lol: I find it strange at Benromach that their top distillate is ironed over with vanilla, coconut and banana even for single tasks, it fits here but.
