- Very full-bodied whisky. Plenty of sherry.
- A great iteration of Glendronach’s Cask Strength. It still has some connection to earlier batches, yet departs from them as well and offers something new. New as well is the age statement of 10 years. Although its only in fine print.
Caramel, honeyed peaches, and balsamic vinegar spread over fresh papaya – a sour-sweet sensation reminiscent of virgin oak. Slightly malty, with golden raisins, and raspberries. With water: myriads of tropical fruit mixed with resin and chicken stock. Nice!
A continuation of the nose. Softly sweet caramel, honeydew, yet there is also a good amount of oak. Pine wood, sour-sweet licorice, and black tea.
Medium-long. Herbal candy, eucalyptus, and burned sugar.
