What an incredible horny nose! Very old school, even with a certain "old bottling aroma", although bottled in 2019. Old, nicely matured fino sherry; Wine cellar; surprisingly a lot of honey; Someone wrote "Marmite" and I go with it; in the background cherry juice, light raisins and a nut mix. No sulfur, although slightly moldy. Very complex and stands in clear contrast to the modern sherry-ripened malts, in which a - young - sherry is far too much in the foreground.
Palate: Peppery, suddenly fleshy and dry, nutty, with spicy honey and marmite. I also have associations with worn out grape skins. Delicious and old-school, but also a bit special.
Finish: very nutty, as if you had just eaten a whole pack of nuts and almonds; sweet honey is added and a Trockenbeerenauslese wine.
