peat, smoke, salt and pepper... quite young on the palate and with a short finish, but overall a bargain for the price

It lives up to its name, strong peat and smoke. Add some fruit and wood. There are better ones in the Big Peat series.

Salty-maritime. Sweet barbecue smoke, peat, smoldering wood plank in the fire on the beach. Pineapple. Vanilla.

Nose is reflected on the palate. Plus some fresh wood.

tar, peat smoke. Some pepper. mid-length.

It’s got the peat but nothing else, it’s basically alcohol and peat. Why anyone would think this is good enough to bottle is beyond me, there’s nothing unpleasant about it but it is a very forgettable dram

    One of my favorite episodes
    • Nose
      85 85
Smoke, smoked fruits, fat dripping from the kebab onto the coals, pineapple in the background. In the smell, you can clearly hear the twigs (kurut) of goat salted milk
    • Taste
      86 86
      salty, fruity, dense
    • Finish
      86 86
brightly smoky board burned to hell, long, smoked fish

  8. Igor_Gudimov scored this whisky 85 points Expert Senior

    • Nose
Heavy peaty smoke, slight salt and pepper, burnt hay
    • Taste
Sweet peatiness and after that burst of dry chimney smoke and resin
    • Finish
      Long, freshly burned oak smoke
