  1. whiskyinstitut scored this whisky 86 points Connoisseur

Nice all-day dram that should appeal to wine drinkers in particular.
    • Nose
      87 87
Sweet orange peel, rosé wine, red grapes, a slight hint of vanilla, fruit acid and a little sweet oak spice
    • Taste
      86 86
Creamy and sour, strong alcohol with distinct dryness, blood orange, dry oak spice
    • Finish
      84 84
Slightly bitter finish with a lot of fruit acid, orange peel and again a few red and fermented grapes, musty warehouse

  3. ffmdino did not rate this whisky Expert Senior

    it is challenging
as much as I loved the red notes and the wine notes when tasting the first, the rotten eggs are a pity for the second.
The spirit harmonized very well with the barrel and fit well together.
So he is not for me.
    • Nose
the alcohol tingles a little, red Haribo bear, great wine notes !!, raspberry pudding !, light pepper, sweetness, light vanilla, light banana, oak, effervescent powder
with water: sweeter, more vanilla and oak, slightly strawberry, slightly lemon, more of the red Haribo bear
    • Taste
full and strong on the palate
Oak, slightly spicy, red berries, tart, tanine, you can tell the alcohol
with water: softer, more berries, more oak, tart, chocolate so 50%, rotten oak and becomes stronger
    • Finish
      long
light oak, tart, coffee, the lazy oak trees are also present here
      with water: berries, green herbs

Neat red wine finish. Unfortunately, however, not particularly complex.
    • Nose
      83 83
Fruity red wine nose. A lot of red grapes and currant. A bit closed at first.
    • Taste
      82 82
The red wine notes also dominate in taste. Then he shows his spicy side. But gets dry pretty quickly.
    • Finish
      82 82
      Dry and vinous.
