Creamy, fruity, floral. Lots of lemon and butter cream. Overall, very round whisky. Doesn't need water, it takes away the intensity.
    • Nose
      86 86
Lemon, butter cream, also floral and light herbal notes. Alcohol is only slightly noticeable.
    • Taste
      87 87
Creamy, again the butter cream, vanilla, lemon. Sweet
    • Finish
      86 86
Medium in length, oak, some acidity, the lemon butter cream and some spice remain.

      Overall very nice!

I like Blair Athol and I have a fairly large collection of this still, originally bottled and by independent bottlers. Here comes an independently bottled Blair Athol, which impresses with its buttery-citrus notes.

Fruit bomb. Great nose with apricot, peach, passion fruit. Creamy, creamy, reminiscent of yogurt. With light vanilla.
Unfortunately not that good on the palate. But still much better than expected. If you are into fruit bombs, you can grab it blindly.

The whisky is subtle and reserved at the beginning, but develops very nice flowery, vanilla and refreshing notes after the initial sugary sweetness.
    • Nose
Clearly sweet and sugary like cotton candy in the nose, then vanilla and candied fruit, with a little sweet passion fruit. This is followed by floral and light aromas, maybe daisies ?! Fresh, resinous wood is added like in a carpenter's workshop, it becomes spicier and a little refreshing with fennel.
    • Taste
Very flowery and somewhat woody in the mouth. Above all, the whisky is refreshing, lemony and menthol-like, with a hint of vanilla.
    • Finish
The finish is again sweet and flowery with a very subtle woodiness.

Alcohol very well integrated, hardly noticeable.
Very soft and round. Great buttery, creamy and lemony notes.

Alcohol dominates very strongly for an 11 year old and cannot be suppressed even with a few drops of water. Tried last night, it didn't work. A little more bearable with water today.
