Whisky Reviews for Glenallachie 2007 AD

- Nose: Alcohol, varnish. But after adding water, some fruit elements appear.
Taste: Without adding water, definitely peppery, spicy and alcoholic. It's not pleasant for me. But after adding a few drops of water, a slight sweetness comes out - an apple. But still very flat in taste with very little flavor. Very weak flavor notes. Difficult to guess.
Rating: 84 | 100. Short finish, slightly fruity. This whisky was definitely not the star of the evening. It's average for me.
- Very tasty part. I find this proving sweetness pretty cool.
The alcohol sticks first. Behind it more and more sweet fruit aromas come through. I'll let it stand a bit…
With a little time in the glass, the alcohol moves clearly back and lets the other flavors through. The first thing I find is apricot jam and whole milk chocolate. There's something dull and sweet inside that reminds me of these Haribo cords. You could always buy them individually from the bakery. ^^ Juicy orange and a good portion of cinnamon. He still has something Christmas. In the form of baked apple with marzipan, raisins, cloves. But the apple goes well in the sour direction. Has some warm must.
Soft, confirmingly sweet approach. The alcohol is very restrained. Oak dries out the mouth a little. This sweetness looks like a liqueur with a pinch of chilli seasoning. Cherries, sweetened raisins and vanilla. The sour apple is also popular. Just like the clove spice. Slightly chocolatey. But there is still a sour, light fruit note, which is not exactly apparent to me. Some lemon balm follows.
Medium to long. Again this liqueur-like sweetness with a pleasant flavor. Vanilla and such a cough sweet taste of lemon and lemon balm.
