The Speyside within the Highlands is home to most of the Scottish distilleries seen on the area. The Linkwood distillery in the north of this region has been producing single malt whisky there since 1825.
The independent bottler Pat Hock Whisky bottles a single bourbon hogshead of 250 liters in natural cask strength, which was previously allowed to mature for 17 long years.

Tasting Notes
Smell: Juicy fruits, pineapple and papaya, pleasant nuttiness behind, aromatic oak wood with a hint of campfire smoke. After a while, the existing complexity is harmoniously rounded off by a sugary sweetness.
Taste: Intense, sour fruit notes, pineapple and papaya can be found, carried by pithy cereals and nuts.
Finish: medium length, pleasant sweetness underlines the fading fruitiness, elegant oak with a hint of campfire smoke in the finish.
