    Full ripening in Amarone is rare; this one is really successful! An intense, young, demanding and already very good malt - the barriques (European oak) are unmistakable in nose and taste!
    [Color] = mahogany;
    • Nose
      intense nose; with water: raisins, red wine, burned matches (sulfur), spicy oak;
    • Taste
      with water: strong, powerful, fruity (raisins, grapes), vinous, red wine, fructose, roasted aromas, tobacco, swelling spices, lots of oak;
    • Finish
      long finish, cocoa, dark chocolate, lots of oak in the finish!

    Needs a lot of water and more time. Not drinkable for me. I like the influence of the Amarone barrel.

    Nice full maturation and the Amarone barrel gets through very well, but not too much.
    He lacks some complexity.
    But if you like whisky + wine barrel, you will get your money's worth here.
    In my opinion he loses completely with water, i.e. a non-swimmer, and the alcohol covers everything (especially in the nose).

      The nose can already hear the Amarone barrel clearly.
      Clear spicy wine notes with red berries.
      So did the alcohol.
      But the nose makes you want more.
      Likewise light grape sugar notes and dark honey. Finally, a certain mustiness, which makes him think older than he is.
      After some time and with a little water, roasted aromas are added.
    • Taste
      84 84
      Sweet, fruity and spicy. The mustiness continues (is it due to the Amarone barrel?). The spiciness of the alcohol is somewhat noticeable, but much less than the almost 58%. Since the alcohol is well integrated. You can drink it without water. Lemon now comes out clearly.
    • Finish
      82 82
      Here too you can see the full maturation in the wine barrel.
      For me the wine barrel comes through too strongly. It's gone incredibly quickly and all that's left is a little lemon and honey and the wine notes.
