Nose: Blackberry liqueur with cinnamon, with ripe grapes on the one hand and raisins on the other. This is followed by a light note of cocoa and matches, some burnt coffee and marzipan.
Palate: Starts off intensely sweet with raisins, rum balls and dates, then moves on to roasted nuts, tobacco and gunpowder. Add cinnamon and nutmeg. A light sulfur component runs through the background.
Finish: Long, chocolate with nuts and raisins, followed by dry cocoa powder and Greek mocha.
Conclusion: Heavy sherry whisky of modern times, many aromas in a few years of storage. 84/100 points (2022)
