I was not a Springbank fan for a long time until I had a Springer 21 (2018) and one of Copper Monument (21 years) in my glass. I often don't like the younger ones very much, but the old things are a blast. This one confirms this. For the time being I only got a sample, but as long as it is still available at the issue price, I'll grab a bottle.
In terms of taste, I can only say: Preserved fruit compote, an incense stick from a little further afield and fresh lime grass. Then comes leather, vanilla, honey, almonds and mango. The whole thing is rounded off by a beautiful cherry mint. The finish is warm and very long, oily and chocolatey (60%)
