Rich straw shines mysteriously in the glass, on the glass wall of my Premium Snifter there are a lot of oily and syrupy legs. Tender hazelnut tones play with dark pears and apples, nuances of caramelized sugar mix with hints of juicy apricots and mirabelles, a hint of fresh bourbon vanilla is in the air. Wonderfully old and solid, yellow, slightly dried fruit aromas are distributed in the nose and slowly stimulate the flow of saliva. Wood tones appear minimal in combination with fresh mint and meadow herbs, the nose is extremely harmonious, fruity and refreshing at the same time.
The first sip flows relatively thinly over the tongue, the first impression is relatively mild and characterized by dry wood tones. In a matter of seconds, the entire mouth fills with chubby warmth, minimal wooden sharpness tickles the tongue, a pinch of white pepper spreads gently on the tongue and massively stimulates the salivation. Dark and dried fruit aromas are released from the pleasant sharpness, mint rises before walnuts and hazelnuts slowly spread on the tongue and line the palate with slightly tart foliage and wood tones. Dried meadow herbs are released from the slightly tart wood tones, the dark yellow fruits return, apricot and pear play with each other, subtle sharpness massages the inside of the cheeks, the flow of saliva is almost unchecked.
Old mint warmed the palate, a handful of hazelnuts and walnuts stuck to the palate, slightly grassy apples detached from old oak and soil covered with leaves. the mouthfeel becomes buttery and slightly greasy, a mixture of yellow fruits, mint, caramel, butter, wood and dried herbs turns a final lap of honor before the aftertaste slowly evaporates and only a greasy film of wood and nut remains on the tongue.
