Whisky Reviews for Whitlaw 2014 vW

3 users have left a review for this whisky and scored it an average of 82.75 points

  1. Dre73 scored this whisky 84 points Connoisseur

This (teaspooned or not?) Highland Park starts off very light and fruity in the nose.
Once nipping it, one recognizes the HP: oranges, some subtle hints of smoke, some sweetness. But also very pickering, a lot of pepper, some clear alcohol layer, clearly a young and still wild whisky.
Not bad at all, but in my opinion, this should have stayed in a cask for a couple of years longer.

Van orphan confirmed to me that it is a teasooned Highland Park

  3. Fabian scored this whisky 80 points Expert Senior

    Certainly Highland Park.
5 years old and you can taste it, yet I think the price / quality ratio is excellent.
Slightly smoky like we are used to from Highland Park, spicy with a sweet tooth.
It is not "teaspooned", because it is an Island Single Malt, otherwise it was a Blend or Blended Malt!
