You notice the 54% but in my opinion it doesn't get along with water. It was watered down quickly, so pure is a better alternative for me. I like it a lot, but a little more sweetness would have done it good, or I would have wished for it. The finish is really nice, unfortunately a bit too short..... After the bottle was open and the Elbe got air, it got better and better in my opinion and the start became much milder. The alcohol is pleasant and I found the fruitiness even more present.
    • Nose
Fruity, fresh like oranges, tangerines, pomegranates and wine gums. There is also ahoi shower and liquid detergent.
    • Taste
The entry is somewhat sharp with clear red wine aromas. I find malt and marzipan with orange jelly filling and the mouthfeel I find it slightly astringent.
    • Finish
The finish is beautifully oily and pleasantly lines the mouth and throat. The fruit marzipan, the wine aromas, the oranges and also the orange peels, which bring a somewhat tart note, continue the red thread. At the end it will be a bit drier again.

Nose great, then rather uncomfortable. Pity…

The 54% are clear, after some time in the air it becomes more pleasant, very sweet and red-fruity, cotton candy, wild strawberries and currants, the typical fruity Mackmyra nose also comes through very nicely, muesli with nuts and the red wine are present, in the Background some wood and light spices

Oily and quite hot, at the beginning very sweet again, with strawberries and the slightly tropical Mackmyra note, then quickly very sour and bitter with espresso and clear woody spice, and very dry
    • Finish
      82 82
Quite short and dry, bitterness now clearly predominates, slight berry sweetness can still be found, black pepper and cinnamon

Artificial sweetness, Haribo yoghurt gums, underlaid with almond. The finish then feels a bit empty.

I could write a novel about the nose. The warm-spicy-cozy wood is the absolute star for me, in the nose and at the end of the finish. I also like the red berry fruitiness and the red wine in general very much. I could sniff here forever. Unfortunately, it cannot maintain this level on the palate - here it is unfortunately too artificially sweet, a little too hot and not as full-bodied as I had hoped it would be.

As the intense reddish color suggests, I have very clear red wine notes. I find a potpourri of red berries, lovely strawberries and raspberries, but also tart blackcurrants and blackberries. This is accompanied by beguiling wood with warm, sweet spices (cardamom, sandalwood and liquorice), toasty vanilla malt coffee and cotton candy. Black tea flavored with caramel. Really wonderful and highly aromatic, the wood entry! The malt also has a voluminous and material effect, I have to think of thick mash, but also something like boiled sweet potato or turnip (in positive terms!). A few freshly sprouted green twigs provide a good counterpoint. Fragrant notes towards sunscreen. Modeling clay. Somehow also carbon, I get a picture of black limes. Maybe a touch of pencil eraser and even a few kalamata olives. A very diverse and exciting nose. And finally a Mackmyra with a higher alcohol strength - the additional percentages suit him very well and make him appear appropriately powerful.

First of all, it is artificial, candy-like, raspberry-sweet, and it also looks a bit hot. Jelly beans and sweet canned corn. Orange syrup. Then it becomes more spicy and woody (pelts properly) and also more acidic - the red berries and generally the red wine are back. I also find modeling clay again, plus shoe polish.

Fruit acid of the red berries, a lot of white pepper, also slightly menthol-like and definitely very warming. In general, however, here too an impression of a bit hot, artificial sweetness that I find difficult. Becomes very dry with a pleasant, almost creamy, caramel-like wood. A good load of fresh ginger paired with cinnamon Big Red chewing gum is left standing at the end.

A sweet, Christmas fruit cake on the nose. Wow!

Unfortunately, it then decreases a lot. A little shame.

    But very entertaining.

Sweet, speculoos !, overripe light fruit, red or rosé slightly in the background. Even a little hearty or meaty note in the background. Fresh oak with cedar and menthol.
Fresh citrus fruits are added with water.
Sweet pastry notes remain with me ...

Much easier. Very sweet and fruity. The seasoning also gets through well. The whole mouth is covered. Cigar tobacco on the tongue. Unfortunately remains far behind the nose. Some bitterness comes through.
    • Finish
      82 82
Relatively short. But nice tobacco notes and some wood are replaced by pepper, chilli and malt.
