Unfortunately, not much of the fruit notes remain on the nose. But the oak now comes through with a pleasant, peppery sharpness, the moist forest floor remains. In the background you can taste the wine with notes of cassis and tannins. It was definitely not a fruity or sweet red wine. Rather a dark, dry and tannin-rich representative of its kind.
