I was surprised reading all of these negative reviews here on WB. Jim Murray has recently scored this whisky 96 points. I believe I am somewhere in the middle with this one. It is not that good, but not so bad either. The delicate Glenfiddich spirit with typical pear and apple notes, enriched by a gentle and very pleasant smoke. The rum casks have then added a little bit of sugar cane sweetness on the top of it. I find this experiment quite successful...

  2. MaroFF scored this whisky 76 points Expert Senior

Experimental whisky which this experiment completely failed. Very average, flat, without any outstanding aromas and flavors. Poorly.
    • Nose
sweet, raisins, vanilla, delicate pineapple, coconut flakes, a cigarette in the background
    • Taste
dry, bitter, pepper, licorice, chocolate, apple compote
    • Finish
      medium, spicy, cloves, peat-leather tip.

  3. SimondeVette scored this whisky 78 points Expert Junior

It's good, but a bit flat
    • Nose
A bit of peat, a bit of fruit
    • Taste
Peat, a bit of rum, pear, honey
    • Finish
      Flat, pretty long, oaky

  4. holborndrinker scored this whisky 80 points Connoisseur

One of the experimental series - I think this particular experiment has fallen a little flat. Perhaps go back to the drawing board.
    • Nose
Some peat comes through on the nose - more vegetative or leafy than anything else.
    • Taste
Quite thin tasting - the rum influence is hard to find as the peat is the main element.
    • Finish
      Peat predominates.
