From the blending of two barrels that contained bourbon, this version illustrates wonderfully the remarkably salty character that made the reputation of this coastal single malt. Very fresh, it also oscillates between smoothness and liveliness. The icing on the cake, long after, the empty glass invites us to breathe a magnificent bouquet of flowers

    Nose: fine, elegant.

    Palate: clean, lively.

    Finish: long, creamy.

Nose: fine, elegant. On the first nose, aromatic plants (sage, verbena) rub shoulders with vanilla-bourbon, strong spices (black pepper, nutmeg) as well as tiger balm. This medicinal aspect also highlights the salty character of the aromatic palette. When aerated, candied citrus fruits (lemon, grapefruit), malted barley, coconut, heady flowers (broom, mimosa) and even white chocolate highlight its extreme complexity.
    • Taste
      98 98
Palate: clean, lively. The attack on the palate firstly emphasizes the medicinal notes perceived on the olfactory level. Then, with a lot of freshness of expression (spearmint, chlorophyll), the mid-palate becomes more and more greedy (vanilla custard) and fruity (mirabelle plum, Reine-claude). In the aftertaste, cocoa powder is sprayed on the walls of the palate while malted barley is the perfect link with the finish.
    • Finish
      96 96
Finish: long, creamy. With an invigorating salinity, the start of the finish returns to the pressed citrus fruits (lemon, orange). Star anise, dill and rosemary then perfume a particularly smooth, milky (almond) and oily (nut) finish. The retro olfaction literally evokes a field of green barley undulating under the breath of a light breeze. The empty glass is balsamic (pine, cedar), spicy (cumin, cinnamon) and roasted (pipe tobacco).
