my fourth bottle, again full of pleasure. But a small one: This bottling by Rachel Berrie is a bit overlaid, oak-spicy and no longer quite as impressive as the bottlings by Billy Walker previously enjoyed in 2017 and at the beginning of 2018.
Took a lot of time and a good portion of water (reduction to approx. 45-46%) to elicit the aromas of the Oloroso and PX barrels

Also in the 2019 version, a monster sherry dram.
    • Nose
Sweet and voluminous, grapes, sherry, plums, lots of spices, a real spice cabinet, the oak stays elegant in the background, but is of course very present through spices and sweetness, but not directly as wood. I really like that right now.
    • Taste
significantly stronger, more peppery, here comes a real swing of bitter oak, dark chocolate and a whole scoop of spices.
    • Finish
the spicy oak bitterness also lingers in the finish. A lot of dark chocolate, but here the sweet aromas also come back to the palate. The oak cools down nicely at the end, with a little cigarillo.

    Room temperature when drinking: 26℃

Eyes: Eyes: 2 to 1 diluted soy and fragrant. Nose: a pill, then overcooked black cloth plum, apricots, cherries sauce, dehydrated grape grains, hand ground coffee powder, plum sticks, espresso , Black chocolate, cigarettes, raisins, butter cake. Rich and mature, complex three-dimensional taste Palate: sweet and sour, obvious tannin, blueberry cream roll, dried ume plum, wooden aroma, dried flowers, black chocolate, concentrated cocoa, dried fruit at low temperature. Deep dark tone, dry aroma, quite comfortable finish: Finish: long and full-bodied, black and delicate, crushed tobacco, Italian concentrated wine Body: medium weight, obvious tannin, astringent, medium bitter bottom

    Nose: 88/100
    Palate: 88/100
    Finish: 88/100
    Body: 88/100
    Overall: 88/100

Overall: This wine perfectly explains how beautiful the dry and dehydrated aroma can be from the smell to the entrance. The enlarged aroma covers the bitter bottom and can still feel some vaguely.

Full and intense, very wonderful whisky.
The aromas and tastes are well integrated. The sherry is very present, but not obtrusive. very round and soft.
    • Nose
a lot of sherry, spicy and yet sweet, fruity with plum, delicious oak, full and intense.
    • Taste
very spicy followed by a lot of sherry, later sweet and slightly fruity, a lot of oak later a bit spicy.
    • Finish
a lot of sherry and spicy, a bit sweet, later a bit tart and slightly fruity, very slightly malty
