    official information:

This single malt whisky was stored in chestnut barrels for 5 years, the maturation took place in ex-Bourbon barrels. The long maturation in the chestnut barrels characterizes the mild taste of this whisky. It is round and soft in the finish with a subtle sweetness.

A very aromatic product, not only for the whisky lover. As a digestif or as a supplement to an espresso or chocolate (with a high cocoa content).

Aroma: Sweet notes of chestnuts, lemons and pears. Soft tones of flowers and cut grass.
Taste: Full-bodied and smooth, with spicy vanilla and creamy sweetness.
Finish: Warm and soft with citrus fruits and honey sweetness.

    Base material: barley malt
    Alcohol volume: 43 vol%
    Serving temperature: 16-18 ° C

Here I have to laugh in the face of the makers, the Ziegler distillery: What is "smooth" for a description of the exit? And "smooth" as a taste? Seriously? Is that irony or do you mean it? It's almost as funny (and idiotic) as the typical American saying "smooth".
But joking aside, I'm glad I tried it and can only recommend everyone to take advantage of the opportunity. No, it is not a revelation and it will not end up on the best lists and you will certainly not want to try more than 50 ml, but the whisky drinker country needs such cool experiments, characterized by well-known things. Objective two stars, subjective three.
    • Nose
Uii, completely different at first. Very cute. Comes from a mix of vanilla and light fruits like pears and bananas. Maybe fruit jelly (the candy) too.
    • Taste
Somehow "Irish" with the typical pear and grass character, but not so softly distilled. There is a certain (albeit weak) rough spiciness here. But on the whole very pleasantly soft in terms of no alcohol palatable. A slightly fruity, very slightly vanilla flavor water. Unfortunately not very spectacular compared to the very idiosyncratic and great smell in the taste department. Granted, only five years. It is pleasantly sweet, almost a "dessert whisky".
    • Finish
Short and painless, everything subsides quickly and nothing remains.
